REFUND/RETURN & WARRANTY POLICY
RETURNS AND REFUNDS
WATCHES:
We offer returns on all pre-assembled watches returned within 7 days of the date received. Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging with the protective film still on if applicable. Custom watch orders featuring a custom dial engraving or coloring, and deposits are not eligible for returns or refunds due to the time and cost invested in building bespoke timepieces.
All custom watches remain the property of Code 44 Designs until paid for in full. Delivery/shipping delays are not grounds for a refund or return. Delays within the agreed upon lead time for a custom watch will not be considered grounds for a refund. Filing a chargeback or dispute for a “late” delivery that is still within our stated lead time window will result in a permanent voiding of your warranty, and any future support.
Once we receive the returned item(s), we will process your refund within 10-12 business days. All refunds will be returned to the original form of payment.
In the unlikely event a defect is exhibited, our 12 month warranty will cover the watch for repair or replacement where eligible.
Exceptions:
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Custom orders with engraving or bespoke dials
- Items marked as “Final Sale”
- Items that have been worn, altered, damaged or misused.

SHIPPING
You're responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping a record of your return tracking number, as we're not responsible for lost or damaged returns.
Returns or refunds for items with no defects or malfunctions will not be considered. You may contact us and explain the situation as to why you need to return the item, but we reserve the right to only grant a return under exceptional circumstances and on a case by case basis. The buyer will still be responsible for all return shipping costs.
CLOTHING:
All of our clothing items (t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, etc) are made to order. We will only offer refunds for items that are defective from a manufacturing issue. We are not able to accept returns or offer refunds for items ordered in the wrong size
KILT PINS:
We are able to accept returns for our kilt pins, and refunds will be issued upon return of the item.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you can cancel your order with us within 24 hours. Please contact us right away if you need to cancel. For items that have been dispatched or delivered a 30% restocking fee will be applicable for returns made within 30 days of purchase. We reserve the right to not accept returns beyond 30 days of receipt.
WARRANTY POLICY
WATCHES:
Our products are guaranteed against defects in the mechanical movement for one year from the date of purchase. This warranty only applies to defects in the movement's functionality. It's important to note that the warranty for our watches does not cover damages caused by misuse, accidents, negligence, or normal wear and tear. We cannot be held responsible for damages from impacts, drops, or improper use of our watches. If your item(s) develop a defect within this timeframe, please contact us for a replacement or repair. We do not warranty for water damage, condensation, or water intrusion. It is the owners responsibility to ensure that the screw down crown is correctly secured before use in or near water. While some of our watches will come with a water resistance rating they are not resistant to steam intrusion and thus our watches are not to be worn in any steam shower, steam sauna or similar.
What are the terms of the warranty?
Our 12-month warranty covers your watch for repair or replacement in case of any fault, failure, or defect, excluding those that arise due to misuse as outlined below, even during the warranty period:
Damage caused by improper use or carelessness, including opening of the case back by yourself. For instance, water ingress due to improper use of crown.
Superficial damage such as scratches, dents, and knocks arising from regular use.
Damage or failure arising from repair or modification by a third party person or company.
Accidental damage from improper handling, negligence, lack of care, and/or acts of nature
In the event you need to claim a repair or replacement under warranty, please get in touch with us with your name, address, order number, and a detailed description of the issue. We reserve the right to hold on to the watch for several days while we conduct bench testing to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue, however we will communicate with the customer when this is required. In the event that the watch is found to not be defective and no replacement or servicing is required, the customer is responsible for cost of shipping the watch back to them.
Please note — We will work with you to resolve any issues as they arise within the warranty period. However any disrespectful or abusive communication in any manner, including by social media, will result in a permanent voiding of the warranty and any future technical support.
Shipping Policy
We currently use Canada Post as our default shipping provider for all orders shipped within Canada and to the United States. Orders to the US will ship Delivery Duties Paid (DDP) via Canada Post. We can use Fedex, Purolator, or UPS at the request of a customer, but they will be responsible for those costs. You will receive tracking information once your order has shipped.
Shipping Times
Canada Post expedited parcel within Canada is 2-5 business days on average.
Expedited Parcel to the USA is 3-5 business days on average. However with recent tariff and customs changes within the US this time is no longer accurate and delays may result due to circumstances outside of our control.
International Shipping
We can ship internationally to several countries, including the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. International shipping rates vary depending on location. International buyers will be responsible for these shipping costs as we will only ship packages tracked and insured.
